Joel Ivan Thomas is a Berlin-based visual artist from Auckland, New Zealand. He has a BA in Screen Arts from Unitec Institute of Technology.

Working from his Kreuzberg studio, Joel focuses on fusing story and character into his fashion, editorial and portrait photography.

Publishers include Ladygunn, HART, Dazed Digital, VICE, Keyi, and Screenshot Magazine. He has exhibited in Berlin, Milan, Auckland, and online.

Joel is also a writer, having written articles about arts, culture, and music, a few short film scripts, and an award nominated play.
